Gold Medals for a Quarter Century of Work

Gold Medals for a Quarter Century of Work On February 22, the Minister of Education of Armenia Levon Mkrchyan awarded the Ministry’s highest honor, the Gold Medal to Junior Achievement of Armenia’s Executive Director Armine K. Hovannisian and Program Coordinator Anahit Manoukyan.

The Minister underscored the importance of JAA’s work as a pioneer in financial education, entrepreneurship and civic education.“Junior Achievement of Armenia stands out among the NGOs in quietly and plausibly entering the education sphere of Armenia and fulfilling a gap in our curriculum. Because of their persistence and dedication, they were able to realize a very important and visible work”, stated the Minister. Mrs. Hovannisian in turn thanked the Minster for his firm support of the program and named her staff members one by one for sharing the award with them. Junior Achievement of Armenia was established in Armenia in the year 1992 by Cynthia Broussalian Tusan. The mission of JAA is to empower young Armenians with the skills and knowledge to compete and succeed in tomorrow’s world. JAA has carried out its mission by providing entrepreneurial skills and civic education to high school students. Over one million students, and 4500 educators have been embraced by the program in its quarter century history.
