In Armenia turns a blind eye to corruption crimes: Honorary Chairman of the “Democracy, Law, Order” Party Vardan Ghukasyan sends letter to US Ambassador to Armenia.

He specifically wrote:  “A vivid example of this is the large plot of land located in the village of Griboyedov in the Armavir Province, which, according to official documents, belongs to Tigran Avinyan’s father, Armen Avinyan. It is worth noting that, prior to 2018, neither Tigran Avinyan nor his father, Armen Avinyan, could have afforded to own such a massive piece of land. This plot of land in the village of Griboyedov houses factories, power plants, and numerous greenhouses” .

“Since the change of government, it has become common for representatives of the “Civil Contract” Party to use high-ranking state positions as a means to enrich themselves and accumulate vast amounts of wealth.
The “Democracy, Law, Order” Party expects an appropriate response from the United States to this matter. In the context of combating corruption, the U.S. position can play a critical and deterrent role in preventing systemic corruption in the Republic of Armenia”,-wrote Vardan Ghukasyan։
