During the regular weekly working meeting Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was reported that 3 cases of illegal construction had been revealed the previous week. The persons in charge were instructed to supervise the work of corresponding divisions of the administrative districts on the spot and in case of revelation of defects and violations they are to apply disciplinary sanctions up to dismissal.

«During the recent years a false opinion was formed that disciplinary sanctions are applied towards the employees of the department of urban development and land control and of the public order service while the defective work of corresponding services of the administrative districts stayed in the background. Therefore, the work of these divisions is to be supervised and disciplinary sanctions are to be applied towards the persons in charge and this will certainly benefit more responsible approach to their obligations», said Taron Margaryan.
The Mayor also instructed to set tight control over the process of implementation of the work and to supervise the process of building sites organization in accordance with the norms.

«Urban development programs both of private and state organizations are to be implemented in accordance with the determined norms. It is required by law and within our powers we must get the laws obeyed», said Taron Margaryan.

During the meeting it was also reported that jointly with the Road Police the control over the public transport was going on. As a result of the control 43 administrative records had been drawn up the previous week. Concerning the control over the quality of public transport service the Mayor instructed to strengthen the control particularly in the evenings and at the weekends.

Concerning illegal street vending prevention it was reported that 8 cases of violations had been recorded. the Mayor instructed to go on the work.
Referring to wastes dumping in inappropriate places it was reported 38 records had been drawn up the previous week.

During the meeting the head of the Department of General Education reported that appropriate temperature had been provided in all municipal pre-schooling, educational and cultural establishments, the systems of energy and water supply had been working uninterruptedly. It was also reported that unexpected visits to schools and kindergartens subordinated to the Municipality of Yerevan are going on. The Mayor instructed to keep a watchful eye over proper food catering of the mentioned establishments.

The Mayor also instructed to prepare the documents necessary for the construction of chess schools in Kanaker-Zeytun and Nork Marash administrative districts. The Mayor noted that with the construction of these two schools the program would have been completed by the end of the year. According to this promised program every administrative district will have at least one chess school.
