Flight on the Wings of a Book: Bvik and Idram promote the love of reading

As part of the book-filled month of February, the “Bvik” initiative summarized the results of the “Flight on the Wings of a Book” reading competition, organized in collaboration with Idram.

“The goal of the competition was to foster love and interest in books among teenagers aged 14–18, develop their speed reading, analytical, and opinion-forming skills, and cultivate critical thinking.

The final event was hosted at Avetisyan Secondary School. After six months of competition phases, a true reading celebration was organized for 66 finalists from various schools in Armenia, during which the winners received the main prizes,” Idram said in a news release.

“The collaboration with Idram was very important, and thanks to this partnership, we were able to organize this competition, jointly promoting the love of reading among the younger generation,” said the director of the “Bvik” Educational Foundation, Anahit Yuzbashyan.

The competition’s reading list included 20 books, featuring globally recognized works appropriate for the age group, including romance novels, adventure and detective stories, and historical fiction. Thanks to the cooperation with Idram, a financial literacy seminar was also held for students on the final day of the competition. The seminar provided essential information on managing finances wisely, the importance of saving, and security guidelines for protection against fraud.

“If we want to raise a financially literate generation, we must first introduce children to books, spark their desire to learn, and only then show them the path to financial security. Today, we also conducted a small financial education seminar with Idram Junior and were very inspired by the students’ engagement and curiosity,” said Idram’s Social Responsibility Program Manager, Mane Gasparyan.

“You can also join Junior’s exciting and educational journey by simply downloading the app on your children’s smartphones. Through the Idram Junior app, children will have access to cashless funds, make contactless payments, save money, and develop financial literacy, while parents can monitor their children’s financial activities using a modern and secure tool,” the news release reads.
