Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan who is in Marseille with an official visit together with Marseille Mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin and the world-famous chansonnier Charles Aznavour was present at the military parade-the main event dedicated to the national holiday of France- Bastille Day. Presenting the symbol of the day and the events planned for this day Marseille Mayor noted that since 1880 July 14 has been celebrated annually with great solemnity not only in Marseille and Paris but in other cities of France as well. Jean-Claude Gaudin thanked Mayor Taron Margaryan for accepting his invitation to mark the national French holiday together. During the parade in which infantry, air forces, infantry troops of gendarmerie and municipal police took part the solemn ceremony of awarding was held as well. After the parade the Mayors of Yerevan and Marseille approached to the participants, congratulated them on the national holiday. In honour of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, Marseille Brass Band played the national anthem of Armenia.
