Mariam Tonoyan, a 100-year-old music teacher, has been honored with a Medal of Gratitude.

She has been working at Tchaikovsky Special Music School in Yerevan ever since its establishment in 1938.

The Medal of Gratitude is awarded for state, economic, social, scientific-technical and public activities, as well as for major personal contribution, many years’ devotion and fruitful activities aimed at promoting the spheres of health, education and culture.
